Sports & recreation
Some people come to Kalkan to relax and rest and there are others who wish to remain active and train while here.

Kalkan has 3 Gyms in 3 different parts of the resort. They are all similarly priced, they all have hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and annual pricing and are well equipped. Pick the one closest to your accommodation and hopefully you will enjoy the vibe there, if not, you've got 2 others to try.

Many visitors like to keep fit with regular walks and/or jogs. Yes, Kalkan is hilly but there are many flat and flattish choices to keep everyone happy. They vary in length, the longest one being 4km to Ulugöl, 8km return trip, a good stretch all on nice sidewalks.

My favourite during summer is Hürriyet Cd - stunning views up there and it's the breeziest. My favourite during winter is the Harbour Front, it's nice to be close to the water.

The map shows all the flat bits that are suitable for easy walking & jogging. The dark green lines were included as "connections" to other flat bits. Those dark green lines are inclines.

If you start early or late you can avoid the heat of the day; or do what I do - escape up to Bezirgân (15 mins away, 800m up) where its much cooler and you can do a circular & flat 6km circular route, once or a few times as your training routine desires.
