Kalkan has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and cool, wet winters. The hottest months are July and August, when temperatures can reach up to 35°C. The coldest months are December and January, when temperatures average around the low teens but sunshine, which isn't uncommon can boost how it feels. Rainfall is fairly low compared to other regions in Turkey, with around 300mm of rain per year but there can be periods of wet and stormy weather too.
